The inspiration behind the Horizon project comes from a clumsy everyday experience we have all had before-- that  awkward moment when we reflexively try to push a button on the middle of our computer screen. Suddenly, we realize that with that tiny desperate ‘push’ we have just sullied our untouchable laptop screen. We live in a temporary era among touchable and untouchable screens. Sometimes as we have to switch back and forth between the two types, funny accidents may occur. 

 

 

Excited to create a solution for this switching problem, I decided to do some research about horizontalism in web ergonomics. 

The images were created to illustrate my findings. These visual reflections highlight the odd differences between touching and using external tools (mouses or touch pads). This surrealistic approach expresses how our hands imperceptibly become our everyday tools.
